Several
groups meet in people’s homes for fellowship and study, at different times and
on different days , and a group meets weekly to pray for healing of the sick.
We also run Alpha Courses on Christian Basics at intervals. If you are
interested, please speak to the clergy.
A Contemplative Prayer Group meets
monthly in St Bridget’s Church Centre on
Wednesday evenings at 7:45.
An
Intercessory Prayer Group meets
monthly.
Here may we prove
the power of prayer
To strengthen faith and sweeten care
To teach our faint desires to rise
And bring all heaven before our eyes
Bind us together…
The
Mothers’
meets monthly in the afternoon, with a
varied programme of speakers and fellowship, and supports the work of
this
worldwide campaigning charity. Members need not be mothers, married or even
female.

The Summer Fair and Ceilidh
involve a lot
of work for the Committee, but are great occasions for teamwork and good public
relations,
as people
stream in from beyond our church community.
The Fair is held on Rectory Field in June, and
the Ceilidh in Westbourne Hall in February.
The Social
Committee
organise
several events each year – the biggest is the Harvest Supper, in October.

When in the slippery paths of
youth
with heedless steps I ran
Thine arm unseen conveyed me safe
and led me up to man.
Both our Churches have Choirs
